Ingredients
- 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup strong black coffee (any kind of coffee you have)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt (optional)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of any kind of Black Cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Grease a round baking pan with oil or butter and powder some flour.
- Mix on low in a mixer the sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt until these ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Then add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla.
- Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes the mixture until it becomes thin.
- Cast batter evenly into prepared pans.
- Bake for about 35 minutes for round pans.
- Cool 10 minutes, remove from pans to wire racks.
- Freeze the cake as required.
